Hi I'm Cathie. Bark of an Angel Dog Rescue was a dream of mine that became a reality. I have always been an animal lover and always rescued strays as a kid. My mission is to ensure every dog and puppy out there knows true love. Outside of Volunteering at the Rescue and Daily Rescue operations, I work full time in Mortgage Servicing. I also enjoy hanging out with my Scooby Pack; Scrappy, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma. My hobbies include Crafting when time allows. I have been married to my husband and Co-Founder of bark of an Angel Ray for almost 16 years. Together we have a 17 year old Daughter named Kalie and a 18 year old Son named Tyler.
Hello. My name is Ray. I am Co-Founder of Bark of an Angel Dog Rescue. my wife Cathie of almost 16 years came to me one day and said let's found a dog rescue and help homeless Dogs and Puppies in need. It has been a wonderful 5 years. Outside of my duties at Bark of an Angel Dog Rescue, I work full time in a DeLorean Restoration shop. My hobbies outside of work are hanging out with my dogs. I enjoy Fishing, and Coral Reef Tanks.
Hilary here. My sister and I started fostering back in 2019. She foster failed after finding her best friend Meela. I continue to foster and have a soft spot for the bully breeds. My resident dog, Diesel, loves it when I bring a new “friend” home. But he also enjoys when they find their home so he can get all of the attention. In addition to fostering, I have done several transports where I pick up the dogs coming into the rescue. It’s so exciting to pick up new pups on the way to their foster families! If you’re ever unsure about adopting or fostering, I’d be happy to explain how easy and rewarding it is.
Diesel is a 7 year old pit/boxer mix. He loves making new “friends” people and dogs. He has helped prepare more than two dozen puppies and adult dogs for their forever homes. He is a bit of an attention hog and will let you know how excited he is to have your attention. His favorite thing is treats (or cookies) and he will forever be your friend if you give him treats, although he requires only the best and will turn his nose up when he knows you got something better.
Hi! I’m Nikki and I’m a behavior analyst for kids with Autism. I have one pup, Bailey, who is almost 3 years old and a BOA alumni! I started fostering with BOA in August 2023. I love getting all of the puppy love and watching their personalities develop! Fostering is a nice way to give my brain a break away from work and keeps me busy at home. Bailey and I are homebodies, so we love having puppies around!
Hi! I’m Bailey! I was rescued from BOA when I was 5 months old. Now I’m almost 3 years old! I love watching the neighborhood through the front window and running around in my yard. I like having puppies around because I think they’re my babies. Sometimes I play with them and share my toys, but my favorite is when we play chase in the yard! At the end of the day, I’m a big cuddler so sometimes I let the puppies cuddle up with me.
We are the Kunde family. We started fostering in the summer of 2020 by helping out with two tiny puppies who needed to be formula fed. We ended up keeping one, and have continued to foster since then. We have always loved animals and want to do whatever we can to help give as many dogs as possible a chance to be saved and find their forever family. We also love the lessons that it teaches our children about helping those in need - it has been great to see them step up to help care for our foster dogs and help find them homes.
This is Mo - he is our first ever foster that we kept! He is such a great foster brother and has helped over 30 puppies learn how to play, how to be potty trained, how to not run away, and how to love on humans
We are the Chavez Rogel Family. My wife Virginia Chavez ,our son Daniel and our daughter Ariadna. We have been fostering for a while with BOA. Our first foster was Chapo(who got adopted by family and living the life). We are currently fostering Count Chocula who is an amazing dog. We love dogs but unfortunately, we love traveling. Family always wanted a dog but always run into who will take care of them when we are out. We understand that it was not fair to the dogs so we decided to foster instead. We love big dogs specially. It's amazing to see the transformation of these dogs from shy,sad to happy loving dogs. The dogs that they were meant to be. Some of these dogs wouldn't have a chance at a family if BOA had not taken them in and love them for who they were. We are just happy to be a part of it.
My husband and I adopted 2 rescue dogs in 2010 while we were still dating and then went on to get married and have to have 3 human babies. Valerie Oludejii introduced my family to BOA and we fostered our first pup in 2019 as a fun experience for our kids. We’ve fostered 2 other pups since then after the passing of our first ever rescue Astro.
Evie is our resident gramma dog. She is a 13yo dobe pitmix who is afraid of her own shadow and is more of a Netflix n chill sort of gal. She probably wishes we’d stop bringing kids and puppies home all the time but she’s patient and tolerates our chaos.
